I am held Amidst this great fleet of Auto mobiles…
I Look to my left no way put straight ahead..
A long road to home… tic-toc this clock slow and steady,
as i watch time fly, fly home, fly through this mess…
Malik remember that Traffic Jam was the Cause
you lost your phones.. As hoodlums Snatched
your belonging through the open glass at your side,
all because of the heat all because of the Traffic Jam.
Late again what do we do?
Traffic held up
another long queue
glance at your watch
nerves uptight
engine getting hot
flashing a red light.
Cars moving slowly
legs stiff and sore
radio blaring loudly
vibes hit the floor
Clutch up clutch down
brakes always used
shouting and screaming
people being abused.
Two miles an hour
time going fast
wondering how long
tempers will last
cyclists passing thinly
smiling on the way
speaking in a happy tone
"have a lovely day"
Anger on all faces
swearing under breath
tooting horns in madness
thinking of death
I will not do this tomorrow
my nerves won't take the strain
another way I have to go
as my heart can't stand the pain.
Enter work late again
boss fuming eyes of rage
pressing on his notepad
flipping over the page
trying to explain is hopeless
falling on deaf ears
traffic jams are unnerving
and puts on many years.
This congestion can only be caused by a desire for people to drive their cars coupled with a failure by local government to act. If they invested in more affordable public transport options and a better infrastructure the incidence of congestion would decrease in major cities.
